What Licensure do I need to have to be listed?

We are accepting all clinicians who are legally able to be in therapeutic private practice, including speech pathologists. Supervisees may join the platform with their supervisor's permission.

How much does Airapy cost?

It's free to set up your profile. Airapy deducts a 10% service charge on each appointment and a $25 flat fee when a new Client makes their first appointment with you. There are no subscription fees or hidden charges.

Do I need insurance?

We highly recommend that all Therapists obtain their own professional malpractice insurance before seeing any patients. In most cases, it should cost less than $300 for an annual policy. We recommend getting a quote from HPSO as a first step.

What is your cancellation policy?

Therapists and Clients can cancel up to 24 hours before the appointment with a full refund, for any reason. A Client will be charged a $25 cancellation fee if they cancel an appointment with less than 24 hours notification or if they fail to appear at a scheduled appointment ("no-show"). If a Therapist cancels with less than 24 hours notice, the full appointment rate will be refunded to the Client. Please read our Terms of Use for more information.

What happens after I book my first appointment?

Please contact the Client by email as soon as you can (we recommend within 48 hours) to proceed with whatever form of intake you prefer. Some Therapists like to schedule a short phont call, some prefer to bring a simple intake form to the first session and set an extra 5 minutes aside for it.

Keep in mind this might be the Client's first time in therapy and they will need your guidance.

What do I need to be listed on Airapy?

  1. Create an account (Register).
  2. Fill out your profile, including headshot and licensure information.
  3. Obtain private practice forms (if you are using your own).
  4. Anytime after you are verified (you will receive an email when this happens), you may create available appointments in your calendar.
  5. You will get an email confirmation when you book a new appointment, but just in case we advise you to log in to Airapy every couple of days to check to see if you have any upcoming appointments.

Is Airapy a group practice?

No! Airapy is a marketplace for patients to book and pay for therapy appointments. All Therapists on the platform are solo practitioners who run their own independent practices.

Can I take insurance through Airapy?

Currently the appointments booked through Airapy have to be cash-only but we hope to incorporate insurance options soon.

Can I be on Airapy if I'm under supervision?

Yes, as long as your supervisor approves it. When you fill out your profile there will be a field to enter your supervisor's information so we can contact them.

I have an office space. Can I still be listed on Airapy?

Yes! Some Clients may prefer an indoor or private space at some point in their sessions. We will list Therapists who solely practice in non-traditional spaces and well as those who practice in both non-traditional and traditional spaces. We recommend you list at least one convenient public meeting location in addition to your private office.
